Vancouvers old houses and the stories of the people who built and lived in them are my passion. My History Walks through Vancouvers heritage neighbourhoods: the East End/Strathcona, West End, Mount Pleasant, Grandview & Cedar Cottage, are a culmination of over two decades working as a house genealogist. During that time I produced in-depth histories of over 800 Vancouver houses. People call me the House Whisperer. My blog, When An Old House Whispers is followed by people in over 70 countries world wide. If you like walking through and photographing historic neighbourhoods, if you ever wanted to time travel, if you are curious to uncover the mysteries hidden behind the doors of old houses, if you have an ear for old-timers stories, my History Walks are for you! From Summit Lake to Sifton Pass, we showcase the First Nations people, explorers, prospectors, trappers, and settlers that have left a footprint in our valley. We have a collection of original paintings by Marge McDougall of First Nations residents of Fort Grahame. We also have the World's Largest Tree Crusher.

Northern Experience RV is conveniently located south of Prince George on Highway 97, 6 minutes from golfing, restaurants, shopping, Costco, Walmart, Best Buy, the Real Canadian Superstore, Treasure Cove Casino, Pine Centre Mall and the regional airport. It is the perfect stop for relaxing in the quite country side, with over 50 fully serviced sites, easy access pull through's for the big rigs, laundry, showers, wifi, a sani dump, and a central covered gazebo for group gatherings.

Mabel Lake Golf Course is a 9 hole golf course, designed and built by Les Furber. Our chalet style clubhouse features a fully licensed restaurant & patio, pro shop, plus banquet and meeting facilities. We also offer a variety of accommodation from luxury homes to beachfront cabins and lake view condos. Amenities include free wifi, satellite tv, swimming pool, hot tub, BBQ, etc. And if you're a pilot, we have a 2900' grass landing strip for your convenience. Everything is only a 5 minute walk away at Mabel Lake: the golf course, vacation rentals, airstrip, marina, campground, beaches, general store and liquor store.
