You can even help yourself to fresh garden herbs when in season, like garlic, parsley, sage, tarragon, chives, fennel, sorrel, dill, mint and more, grown right on the property. Guests can eat their meals on one of the lodge's outdoor picnic tables or the indoor shared dining/living room. Host and long-time Queen Charlotte resident Terry Tollestrup is full of insider information and tips on what to see and do in the area and where to find the best fishing around the island. (Fishing charters are available from several nearby outfitters and guides.) Room rates vary from $120.00 to $340.00 per night depending on the room rented and length of stay.

Country Maples RV Resort is located on Vancouver Island near the town of Chemainus, which is 14 km north of the City of Duncan. The Resort is nestled along the Chemainus River and is buffered by an old-growth forest. There is a variety of camping areas and amenities with 175 full and partial hookup RV sites (including 8 pull-throughs) with 15, 30 and 50-amp electrical service as well as dry camping and tenting sites. There are treed and open sites. There is an onsite (seasonal) general store, playgrounds, an arcade and laundry facilities; a heated swimming pool, 18-hole mini golf course. Short term winter stays available from early Sept - April 30.

Castlegar Sculpturewalk is an annual exhibition of outdoor sculptures, located on a pleasant walking tour in downtown Castlegar. Viewers are encouraged to vote for their favourite sculpture via ballot - the winner of the People's Choice award is purchased by the City for the permanent collections. All of the artworks are available for sale or lease. Ballots/maps are located in red ballot boxes along the route (the start of the route is at the Kootenay Market (635 Columbia Avenue), though you can begin the walk from anywhere. Ballots/maps are also available at the Castlegar Chamber of Commerce, City Hall, or the Kootenay Gallery.

We offer year round exceptional Stand Up Paddleboarding Experiences on southern Vancouver Island on the west coast of Canada. We are a mobile business and can help you with guided tours, lessons, events and rentals. We also sell boards, paddles and all the other gear you need to make your paddling experience safe and fun. We often paddle with otters and seals while eagles soar overhead. SUP (stand up paddleboarding) is a great way to experience the beauty of Victoria and southern Vancouver Island. Moose Travel Network is an adventure tour and transportation network for 18 to 39 year old (and young at heart!) budget travellers in Western Canada. Based in beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia, we offer 13 tours departing from either Vancouver or Banff. Major destinations include Banff and Jasper National Parks, Whistler, and Vancouver Island. Our tours include hostel accommodation, transportation, the services of a driver/guide, National Park fees, and a select few activities and meals.
