As of June 2018 we will be known as the "Canadian Princess Lodge & Marina" having completed the new 250ft marina. The marina will be available for guest boat moorage and local marina tourism business rentals such as sport fishing, whale watching, kayaking. Please contact property direct for marina enquires. Located on the shores of Ucluelet harbour, next to the permanently docked Canadian Princess, this resort features guest rooms with balconies overlooking the harbour and mountains. The Nikkei Internment Memorial Centre is dedicated to preserving and sharing the history of the internment of over 22,000 Japanese Canadians during the Second World War. The Nikkei Internment Memorial Centre opened its doors in 1994 as an initiative from the New Denver Kyowakai Society to commemorate and honor the stories of over 22,000 Japanese Canadians who were stripped of their civil rights, labelled "enemy aliens" and uprooted from their coastal homes during the Second World War. Located on the site of a former internment camp, the original buildings, period artifacts, interpretive displays, and Heiwa Teien garden designed by the renowned Roy (Tomomichi) Sumi, chronicle this extraordinary episode in Canadian history.

Established in 1916 as part of the Dominion Experimental Farm, now the Summerland Research and Development Centre, the 6 hectare, Summerland Ornamental Gardens was designed to help residents, choose ornamental plants for their gardens that would be suitable for the dry Okanagan climate. In collaboration with Agriculture Canada, the site is maintained by the non-profit society, the Friends of Summerland Ornamental Gardens.
