Battle Abbey Backcountry Lodge, operated by Weber Powder, offers all inclusive (guided & catered) refined mountain experiences in the remote British Columbia backcountry. Established in 1978 by Hans Gmoser (the founder of CMH), Battle Abbey is perched at 2200M in the sub alpine and sits on 10,000 acres of exclusive world-class terrain. Battle Abbey offers a wide array of adventures for intermediate to expert backcountry ski tourers and split-boarders. From steep tree skiing below the lodge to high alpine bowls, couloirs and long glaciated runs above, there is Supreme Skiing for all weather conditions. Trips include ground transportation from Calgary International Airport, inbound/outbound helicopter flights, lodge accommodation, gourmet dining, lodge staff, four ACMG certified guides as well as all safety equipment. Battle Abbey will be closed for the summer of 2024 while the lodge undergoes extensive renovations.

We are a full service paragliding facility , providing Tandem flights , lessons , equipment sales and service . We have accommodation on site from hostel to camping , our paragliding loft has full bathroom , hot showers and kitchen with fridge. Our teaching is from April 1st -Oct 15th. The Old School House Arts Centre is the bright yellow community arts centre with a big history nestled in the heart of the picturesque community of Qualicum Beach on Vancouver Island. The Old School House Arts Centre houses ten shared Resident artist's studios and is an established public art gallery and art learning centre. Sprinkled throughout the building are gifting items featuring the work of Island artists, and there are over 80 classes a year to partake in. The Old School House is a non-profit charitable organization that provides vibrant community programming that is open to all - regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, religious affiliation, financial status, age, sexual orientation, political belief, or physical limitation.
