John gives the upper hand with his knowledge and years of experience working on his families commercial Prawn and Tuna boat. Now as a Tug boat captain since 2006 and a sport fishing guide since 2007, here in the local west coast waters Johns marine experience is second to none.

O'Keefe Ranch was founded in 1867 by Cornelius O'Keefe. His family lived on site for 110 years before it was opened as an historic ranch, meaning it still houses one of the most complete collections of one family's stuff (from the Victorian and Edwardian eras) in all of the province. Today O'Keefe Ranch is operated by a non-profit society and is a registered charity. Langara Golf Course is a traditional-style course located on the south slope of Vancouver. Built in 1926 by the Canadian Pacific Railway, the course was redesigned by Canadian Architect Thomas McBroom. The contoured, tree-lined fairways are easy to walk and make this challenging par 71 course appealing to players of all levels.The large rolling greens make scoring a challenge and, with its narrow fairways, accuracy off the tee is paramount. The walkability of the golf course makes it appealing to everyone.

The Fort Nelson Visitor Information Centre is located at Mile 300 on the famous Alaska Highway. Stop in to get information, ask questions, use the computers or internet, use bathrooms and fill up your coffee mug. The centre is also stocked with local artisan products from art and jewelry to pottery and First Nations products which may make a great keepsake. In the spring the water levels can be high and moving though always flat and no rapids. By mid-summer water levels are gentle. By late summer the beaver start rebuilding their dams creating pools to paddle in. Guides are recommended, though experienced river paddlers go unguided.
