Nestled in the beautiful Cowichan Valley our 50-acre estate has the perfect microclimate that allows us to grow 7-different varietals, ranging from fruity whites to full-bodied reds that are unique to Vancouver Island. Welcome to the Roedde family's home. Gustav and Matilda Roedde settled in Vancouver in 1888. Gustav opened the first bookbinding business in Vancouver and by 1893 moved into their new house in the West End. Roedde House is attributed to famed architect Francis Rattenbury and is a City of Vancouver-designated Class A Heritage House. Since 1980, the Roedde House Preservation Society has taken painstaking care to renovate and furnish the house to reflect the ambience of late Victorian family life. Come in and experience life in the late 19th century for yourself!

Our beautiful remote wilderness lodge is located at the shore of Williston Lake, 65 km by boat from Hudson's Hope. Pick up in Hudson's Hope is included. We also provide great guided wilderness adventure for individuals, couples and smaller groups (up to 8 persons). All trips are unique and individual, when it comes to accomodation, activities and duration. We can take you into the Rocky Mountains on horse back in tent camp and spend the days riding and hiking - we can go fishing for huge trouts on the lake - we can explore the area on side-by-sides, and maybe see bears, moose, elk and goats. You can stay at our lodge, in a remote cabin or in a tent camp - it can be as wild as you prefer.During the fall we also do hunting adventure of the big game of British Columbia.We look forward to welcome you as friends and say good bye as family !This is a true wilderness adventure!
