Columbia Wetlands Outpost
Canadian Rockies
Nestled in the Columbia River Valley between the spectacular Rocky and Purcell Mountain ranges lies the Columbia Wetlands Outpost. Many of us call the Columbia Wetlands a living natural treasure because of its role as an essential eco-system, home to hundreds of animal species. What we also know is that the mighty Columbia River slows as it winds through the wetlands, setting the pace for us and all who seek respite here. Guests at the Columbia Wetlands Outpost have an opportunity to experience a magical adventure, a chance to pause and soak in something that is eye-wateringly beautiful, exciting yet profound. Whether you prefer to explore endless tributaries, at your own pace, in a canoe/kayak/SUP or simply float gently down the Columbia on a guided catacraft tour is your choice. Stay with us for several days to experience even more of our beautiful surroundings at the luxurious Columbia Wetlands Outpost Lodge, or unique Columbia Wetlands Outpost Tepee and Timber tents.
Sea Kayak Adventures
Port Hardy
Sea Kayak Adventures is a leader in small-group, immersive sea kayaking tours designed to bring travelers closer to the wild beauty of the world. In British Columbia, we specialize in immersive sea kayaking and whale watching experiences along Vancouver Island’s remote coastlines, where pristine wilderness meets some of the richest marine habitats in the world. Each summer, hundreds of orcas and humpbacks return to Johnstone Strait and the surrounding Broughton Archipelago, making it one of the very best places on Earth to paddle among whales. Our trips combine wildlife encounters with the tranquility of gliding beneath old-growth forests, spotting bald eagles overhead, and camping in secluded coves along rugged shorelines. From multi-day camping expeditions beneath towering cedar and spruce to our exclusive lodge-based tour at God’s Pocket Resort, we offer options for every paddler, from those eager for wilderness immersion to those seeking the comfort of a cozy bed after a day on the water. Guided by naturalists, fueled by fresh meals, and set against British Columbia’s spectacular scenery, our tours invite travelers to experience this region’s iconic wildlife and coastal magic at a paddler’s pace.
