The NOMADIC BULL is a funky down country home B & B on beautiful 'Gabe,' (short for Gabriola Island). It is run by myself, my son Cole, and our Black Lab, Heidi. It is conveniently located five minutes from the ferry, three minutes from the village and anywhere from five to 15 minutes from most of the beaches.

We love fishing for salmon, halibut, ling cod and rock fish as well as pawning and crabbing. We provide year round fishing charters & marine tours. Whether you want to fish or explore the East Coast or West Coasts of Vancouver Island, we are ideally placed to move to where the fish are. The Osoyoos Desert Centre is a 67 acre nature interpretive facility where visitors can learn about desert ecology, habitat restoration and conservation of endangered ecosystems in the South Okanagan. Guests are invited to explore Canada’s desert by taking a guided or self-guided tour along a 1.5 km elevated wooden boardwalk. In addition, the Centre features an interpretive facility with hands-on exhibits and a native plant demonstration garden. Visitors can also browse through our Gift Shop, enjoy a snack in the outdoor picnic area, or relax at one of the kiosks and take in the spectacular views.

Located above Whistler Village on the side of Blackcomb Mountain, the Whistler Sliding Centre is a world-class bobsleigh, skeleton and luge facility. Public visitors can try Whistler's most unique activities, passenger bobsleigh (winter and summer) and public skeleton (winter). Aspiring athletes can join "Learn to Slide" programming for all skill levels in bobsleigh, skeleton and luge within the BC Sliding Development Centre. The facility is also a National Training Centre and popular training and competition venue for athletes from all over the world. Each year, races for all levels from beginners to the elite of sliding athletes, such as World Cups and World Championships are held on the Olympic legacy venue. Year-round, Olympic Sightseeing is available free of charge through a self-guided interpretive tour. The Whistler Sliding Centre is a non-profit organization, and all proceeds from public programs go directly towards growing sport and supporting current and future athletes!

Both attractions open 10am to 7pm every day. Night GOLF until 10:00pm every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Minigolf! An 18-hole course, among mature trees and meandering waterways. $18/person. Groups of 4 or more, $15/person. Go-karts! Riders must be 10 years old and 54" tall to drive a single kart. Shorter racers can ride in a double kart. $18/kart.
