Sleigh Rides Through Winter Wonderland I grew up on a farm learning the value of the horse. In my early years I had a team of ponies that took kids out toboggans, which eventually led my teams and I to do Christmas Rides in town. When not doing sleigh rides, I am working my teams on the farm doing everything from chores, to working the fields. All of my years with the horses, has led me to be able to offer sleigh rides at Big White during the winter months.

We fish two different premiere locations. Haida Gwaii (Queen Charlotte Islands) located offshore in the North Pacific and Port Hardy (Vancouver Island). Although, both locations are considered a rain forests and are known for culture, beauty and marine life, they are both arguably known best for their legendary bounties of salmon & halibut. Your hosts of the waterfront Tofino Swell Lodge are Betsy and Chris. They offer seven rooms, each named after a local species of salmon. Your stay comes complete with inviting common areas, fully equipped kitchen, picturesque gardens, a patio with BBQ and a hot tub looking into Clayoquot Sound. From the lodge Chris also operates Tofino Sports Fishing; join Chris on a fishing charter, scenic cruise or bird watching tour. Pets are welcome.
