Great Bear Lodge offers grizzly bear tours from May to October at a floating lodge in the Great Bear Rainforest. With no other operators in the river system and a maximum of 18 guests, people can feel truly immersed in nature. Tours start with a spectacular seaplane flight from Port Hardy on northern Vancouver Island, and include accommodation, wilderness-gourmet food and bear viewing. The floating lodge is situated at an outstanding wildlife viewing location, where an ocean fjord meets a productive salmon river. Family Farm B&B is a hobby farm situated on a lovely 5 acres in the quiet town of Powell River, BC. In the presence of a host, guests can visit with various animals, including chickens, ducks, geese, cows, and goats. There are various free activities for adults and children (depending on season and availability), including goat-milking, cheesemaking, and vegetable gardening. Breakfast is included.
