The Vanderhoof Tourism and Cultural Centre opened its doors on June 30, 2022 and is located on the corner of Highway 16 and Pine Street on the traditional territory of Saikuz First Nation. Stop in to pick up some brochures, check out some local art, and chat with one of the friendly Visitor Services Specialists about the exciting things you can do in Vanderhoof. The Vanderhoof Community Museum is also located on these grounds. We encourage you to take a tour through our collection of six historic buildings at your own pace or with a guide. Admission is by donation and includes a large RV parking lot, free WIFI, wheelchair accessible picnic tables and a 1.5km interpretive walking trail. We hope to see you soon!

The Vancouver Maritime Museum is a fun, family-friendly place to explore and learn about the sea and the ships that sail it. Climb aboard the historic St. Roch, the first ship to make the west-east traverse of the Northwest Passage. Additionally, guests can choose to stay at one of the three luxury wilderness chalets at the resort. Offering private accommodations for up to 18 guests (depending on the chalet), they are perfect for a family reunion or getaway. In the summer, if camping is more your approach, guests can choose from five RV lakefront sites and one non-lakefront site. We also have five tent friendly campsites available with water, washrooms, and showers. One tent per site, four people per site maximum.

The Museum is committed to encouraging and facilitating creative dialogue and exploring a more holistic and critical view of the multiple and diverse ways of understanding Haida Gwaii home to one of the most prominent Northwest Coast First Nations cultures (Haida), and rich ecosystems in Canada.

I-Hos Gallery is Band owned and operated by K'omoks First Nation. Our culture is expressed through our art. We are located between Courtenay and Comox on Vancouver Island, on the site of the original Komoks Village. We deal directly with all of our First Nation artists and provide you with all legends and artist biographies.
