Cedar Coast is located on Vargas Island just a short boat ride from Tofino. The facilities include a lodge for meals, activities, programs and socializing. Guests have the choice in stay in one of our 8 larger tents which are protected from the elements by metal roofs and cedar mud rooms and each has its own private en-suite bathroom with power, drinking water, hot water and a flush toilet. We also offer 3 smaller tents which are simple canvas wall-tents on cedar platforms with a bed, a desk, a chair and a wood stove.

Manning Park Resort is a four season, family-friendly resort in the heart of the Cascade Mountains that offers year-round camping and accommodation; hiking, biking, canoeing and paddling; skiing/snowboarding; 64km of cross-country ski trails; snowshoeing; and an outdoor ice rink. It has full Resort amenities, including a variety of accommodations, restaurant, pub, swimming pool and recreational activities, all in a beautiful natural setting. The Resort is within E.C. Manning Provincial Park, which means there are incredible hiking trails, and multi-purpose trails for biking, horseback riding, snowshoeing, cross- and back-country trails in the winter. In winter, our downhill ski and Nordic areas have a great progression for all levels, and we see consistently great conditions, due to our higher elevation and by virtue of being slightly more inland than the Coastal Mountains. Unwind in your own private 9 acre forest on the waterfront of Bedwell Harbour. Look across the Harbour and watch the sunset over Gulf Island National Reserve. This is relaxation and privacy like none other with Seals, Otters, Herons, and Eagles visiting daily. The stairs take you down to the beach. The cabin is rustic but very cozy. One bedroom plus loft, 3 beds in total. Must have 4wd vehicle to drive down very steep hill to the cabin or park at top and walk 5min in. We provide a wagon. 360 degree views of ocean and forest.

Seated up front, you will be surrounded by spectacular views of the Beaufort Mountains, crystal-clear freshwater lakes, ocean inlets and the rugged coastline of Vancouver Island. Youll see the town of Port Alberni below and cruise over Sproat Lake, keeping an eye out for the massive Martin Mars waterbombers at their base below. Open from mid April until the end of September.

Deluxe safari tents with with either king bed or two doubles. The camp is perched on a 630' long deck 16 feet in the air above the water's edge. Packages are all-inclusive with chef-prepared meals, guided activities and grizzly bear, eagle and salmon watching in the autumn months. Fishing, hiking, biking, rafting, kayaking, horseback riding, SUPing, and wildlife viewing are included. Playland is part of the Pacific National Exhibition (PNE) fairgrounds in Vancouver and is BCs most famous amusement park. Playland features exhilarating rides and attractions for all ages, exciting midway games, mini-golf, a climbing wall, haunted mansion and a variety of delicious food. Playland offers over 35 rides and attractions, including four exciting roller coasters. One of the most loved and talked about attractions at Playland is the historic Wooden Roller Coaster. This spectacular coaster has been operating at the park since 1958 and is cited as a Coaster Classic by the American Coaster Enthusiasts organization, which is an honour shared by only 22 other wooden coasters in the world. For the more adventurous visitors, Playland offers 15 extreme rides and attractions including the extreme swing ride Atmosfear, which takes you up 218 feet while spinning 70km/hour and The Beast, cited as Canadas most extreme pendulum ride. For those looking to experience a bit of thrill with the entire family, Playland features 17 family and kids rides including three new family rides for 2016, a spinning coaster, Bug Whirled, a peddle operated ride, Flutterbye and a tower, Dizzy Drop. Our spirits are made from grain to bottle using 100% BC Grain. We serve beautifully handcrafted cocktails in a unique setting.

In Valemount's original Railway Station from 1914, the Valemount & Area Museum showcases how the pioneers of the Robson Valley lived during the last century. Farming, forestry and fur fueled the economy. All of this is lovingly displayed by the Valemount Historic Society, descendants of those pioneers, whom opened the museum in 1992, after nearly 5 years of restoring and refurbishing. Trains, teachers, internment camps, outfitters, farmers, war heroes and more await your visit. The Annex outbuilding displays a magnificent collection of chainsaws and farming implements. Our caboose houses every tool you would need to maintain the tracks. The pièce de résistance is the train station itself with 3 floors of amazing displays. Entry by donation

Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden is a site of cultural heritage, learning, and reflection in Vancouver's historic Chinatown. Modeled after Ming Dynasty private scholars gardens, it is the first of its kind built outside of China. This neighbourhood gem has been named one of the world's "Top City Gardens" by National Geographic. Please visit the Garden's website for the most up-to-date operating hours.

Established in 1916 as part of the Dominion Experimental Farm, now the Summerland Research and Development Centre, the 6 hectare, Summerland Ornamental Gardens was designed to help residents, choose ornamental plants for their gardens that would be suitable for the dry Okanagan climate. In collaboration with Agriculture Canada, the site is maintained by the non-profit society, the Friends of Summerland Ornamental Gardens. As you stroll through the Gardens you will have views of Okanagan Lake, Giant's Head Mountain and the Trout Creek Trestle railroad bridge, an outstanding engineering feat constructed for the Kettle Valley Railway. Visit the demonstration garden beds and learn principles of water-smart gardening with the diverse Welcome Garden, Xeriscape Garden, Butterfly Garden, Vegetable garden, Canadian Heritage Rose garden, Fairy Garden and more. The gardens are open year-round. Our society gratefully requests a minimum donation $5.00 per person to keep us growing.

Coquitlam Heritage Society operates Mackin House Museum. Mackin House is one of the last remaining Fraser Mill homes. Located on the corner of Brunette Avenue and Marmont Street, Mackin House has been a landmark and monument in the community since it was built in 1909. It continues to be an enduring symbol of Coquitlams rich history. Visit us for a historic tour, to see our rotating exhibits, or to attend one of the many workshops and events we offer!
