As a female business owner and entrepreneur with a background in marketing, it has been my dream to help grow and promote the local art community in Vancouver. I created Pacific Arts Market to showcase our city's local artistic talent and diversity. Local artists exhibit paintings, jewelry, pottery, photography, leather goods, woodwork and other crafts. My role is to be a catalyst that unites creative artisans with art-loving consumers. Once inside, all the unique & stunning pieces of art will speak for themselves. The Greenwood Visitor Centre & Museum offers a wide range of provincial, regional & local publications. A self-guided Heritage Walking Tour, Phoenix Interpretive Forest Driving Tour and many maps are available. The Museum features our mining history, Japanese Internment gallery & other interesting displays. Our gift shop includes local Japanese art, rocks, minerals, jewelry, cards & books. A guided tour of our 1903 BC Supreme Courthouse is popular with our visitors. Stained glass windows depict the 7 provinces in the confederation of Canada in 1902. Our knowledgeable and friendly staff look forward to giving our visitors a warm welcome to Canada's Smallest Incorporated City.

We fish from April to June in Nanoose Bay, near Nanaimo for Chinook, then move over to Port Alberni, Barkley Sound and Bamfield from June to September. Whether youre planning an outdoor adventure or just passing through, the Harrison Visitor Information Centre & Sasquatch Museum is a great place to get your bearings and learn a bit of local lore.

Where History Comes to Life - Stroll down the streets of our 1920s community. Period costumed townsfolk welcome visitors and give demonstrations in the homes, businesses and shops. Visitors can feel the heat of the fire as the blacksmith works at the forge, hear the rhythm of the platen press at the Burnaby Post, smell freshly ground coffee in the General Store, be a 1920s student in a one-room schoolhouse, watch the tinsmith cut, crimp & curl flat sheets of tin into useful household items. Everyone is welcome to take a ride on the 1912 CW Parker Carousel, explore the restored 1912 Interurban Tram, and enjoy a treat in the Ice Cream Parlour. The Village is open seasonally (Spring Break in March, Summer Season- early May to Labour Day, and Heritage Christmas-late November to early January) and year-round for pre-booked groups and programs.
