Wild Bear Lodge is a small private wilderness lodge about halfway between Vancouver and Calgary. We are located in the worlds only inland temperate rainforest amid mountains, old-growth trees, and fast-flowing rivers. We believe we offer some of the most exciting and natural bear-viewing, nature and wilderness holidays in north America, against a backdrop of some of western Canadas most dramatic terrain.
We love fishing for salmon, halibut, ling cod and rock fish as well as pawning and crabbing. We provide year round fishing charters & marine tours. Whether you want to fish or explore the East Coast or West Coasts of Vancouver Island, we are ideally placed to move to where the fish are. We are passionate about providing safe & exciting fishing and wildlife adventures!
Oyama Lake Eco Lodge is situated on a volcanic lake with 27 islands, 15 cabin rentals, as well as a few camping sites. Stay the night or come up for the day and rent a boat. We offer canoes, kayaks, pedal boats, paddle boards, motorized fishing boats as well as lager pontoon boats. Oyama lake is great for fly fishing, trolling behind a boat, swimming, relaxing or exploring. Three of our cabins come with private washrooms, however, there is also a shared ladies powder room and a shower house on-site. All cabins have their own fire-pit as well as access to a communal BBQ area. There is a small store on-site, but it is recommended that you bring up your own food and water. Her artistic side joined her love of the public when she opened Crystal's View Bed & Breakfast in 1996. An strong interest in interior decoration, culture, travel, cooking, and baking, harmonize well together and fulfill her dream of operating a small business specializing in warm hospitable service. Stop in to get information, ask questions, use the computers or internet, use bathrooms and fill up your coffee mug. The centre is also stocked with local artisan products from art and jewelry to pottery and First Nations products which may make a great keepsake.
