We produce ultra-premium quality wines, borrowing an aesthetic derived from the great wines of Bordeaux, but stamped with the flavours and aromas of our particular piece of rocky Similkameen land. Trethewey House was built in 1919-1920 by Joseph Ogle "J.O." Trethewey. As President of the Abbotsford Lumber Company, J.O. was responsible for leadership of the company during the company's boom years in the 1920s. The House is built in the local Craftsman style and was constructed using primarily local materials, making it distinct from other buildings of similar age within the City of Abbotsford.
POMO Museum
On the picturesque shore at the end of the Burrard Inlet lies the POMO Museum, once the committed terminus of the Canadian Pacific Railway at the first navigable tide waters of the Pacific Ocean. Located beside Rocky Point Park and across from the Brewers Row, there’s lots to see and do. We have a Food Truck onsite, and we’re steps away from Rocky Point Ice Cream, Pajo’s and the Water Park. Accessible from Moody Centre Skytrain. The Museum, formerly the Port Moody Station Museum, is owned and operated by the Port Moody Heritage Society (PMHS) to promote and increase the awareness and knowledge of Port Moody’s heritage and history. Exhibitions at the Museum include the Historic Port Moody CPR Station itself, now in its 3rd location. See artifacts and walk through the parlour, kitchen, and telegraph room, recreated to reflect the station as it was in the 1930s. The Museum is currently featuring the exhibit ‘Port Moody Industries’ & ‘Our Living Languages: First Peoples Voices in BC’, on loan from the Royal Museum of BC, and our own ‘Inclusion’ Exhibit. We’re committed to Reconciliation and sharing the histories of Indigenous Peoples. Enjoy community displays, the Heritage Garden and the Meditation Garden. Our restored 1921 CPR railcar, the “Venosta”, is available to explore or to rent for events. Our mission is to promote an appreciation of community heritage by preserving and presenting history through events, exhibits, and programs. We welcome everyone to discover our shared heritage.
