BIG Little Science Centre is a fun Hands-On venue for Families. During drop-in times our hands-on rooms are open for visitors to tour at their leisure. The site has approximately 140 stations of hands-on activities to try.

The Fort Nelson Heritage Museum is situated just West of the historic Mile 300 milepost on the World Famous Alaska Highway. The museum is located in Fort Nelson, BC, Canada and is operated by the Fort Nelson Historical Society. Fort Nelson is the gateway to the Northern Rocky Mountains and the Muskwa-Kechika Management Area. Mission Statement: To preserve and share the human, natural, and transportation history of the Fort Nelson area. Housed in 8 buildings, the museum offers countless displays and artifacts. View displays on forestry, fire fighting, mining, oil & gas, communications, construction, and wildlife. The museum is also home to a large collection of vintage automobiles. U'mista Cultural Centre is one of the longest-operating and most successful First Nations cultural facilities in BC, founded in 1980 as a ground breaking project to house potlatch artifacts which had been seized by government during an earlier period of cultural repression. The return of the potlatch artifacts not only provided U'mista's name ('the return of something important'), and sparked a general trend toward repatriation of First Nations and cultural artifacts, it caused the creation of a physical facility and human resources infrastructure which have been successfully operated for over two decades.U'mista now operates a modern museum and cultural education facility in Alert Bay. Located in the beautiful setting of Cates Park, this site offers Kayak and SUP rentals run by Deep Cove Kayak - all just 100m from the beach. Same great kayaks, stand up paddleboards, and knowledgeable staff. No experience required - basic instruction and all necessary gear included. Please note that midweek we are open by-reservation.

Bootleg Gap Golf, located in Kimberley British Columbia, is truly a complete golf facility. With 27 outstanding holes, and a stunning location along the St. Mary River. The Championship course at Bootleg Gap is highlighted with the 12th, a dramatic par-3 that swoops down into the hoodoo-lined hillside and is one of the most scenic par-3s in the region.
