Continuously occupied for over 4,300 years, Yuquot village became the capital for all 17 tribes of the Nootka Sound region. Known as the Birthplace of BC where first contact with European explorers and traders occurred 250 years ago. Attracted to the security of the harbour, it became known to explorers as Friendly Cove. As a result, Yuquot developed into an important centre of trade and diplomacy, and it was briefly the site of Spains only military establishment in present-day Canada.

The tee box hangs on a ledge and the green, approximately 175 yards away, is beautifully shelved among spindly pines and a bold collection of snow-white bunkers. Kidtropolis is an interactive indoor playground focused on providing a great play experience for children and families. We love to inspire children to use their imagination to pretend play in our city. Children can be police officers, fire fighters, shop in our food market, take care of animals, take care of each other, fix a car, travel the world in our airplane and so much more! Kidtropolis offers drop in play, birthday parties, private events, Kids Night Out, Nerf Night, Day camps, Field Trips and so much more! We love a good party! Playing can work up a pretty good appetite - guests can purchase snacks and food items from our Munchies Cafe too! Whether you're visiting from out of town or one of the locals, we have something for kids aged 2 years - 10 years old. Located at the entrance to Parksville, the Parksville Visitor Centre is conveniently located just off Highway 19A (Exit #46), between the Parksville Museum and the Peace Park. Our courteous and knowledgeable staff provide professional visitor counselling, customized itinerary planning, accommodation and activity reservations, helpful travel information including transportation and community information on all areas of British Columbia. The Visitor Centre is accessible. Public washrooms are available during our business hours.

The Knutsford/Kamloops RV Campground is situated in a tree filled valley bottom. In the middle of the park runs a seasonal mountain stream which has trails accessible in downtown Kamloops. Within minutes one has access to a variety of fishing lakes, hiking trails, as well as many golf courses.

***IMPORTANT NOTICE*** Kettle River Recreation Area and Campground will be fully operational and open as usual on May 6th. The Campground and Day-Use Area was minimally affected by the Rock Creek Fire. Facilities: 113 campsites, 1 large group site, public beach and day-use area, playground, shower, flush toilets, sani-station. Location: 5 km north of Rock Creek on Highway 33. Kettle River Recreation Area is one of the largest and most popular destination family campgrounds in the Okanagan - Boundary Region. Located minutes from amenities in Rock Creek, it is only 45 minutes from Osoyoos and 90 minutes from Kelowna. Campers will want to bring their bikes and floaties! This park offers fantastic biking/hiking opportunities and access to the historic Trans Canada Trail network. A bike pump track was recently added and is a hit with kids of all ages. In the summer months, campers walk their tubes and floaties to the Kettle River that flows alongside the campground, while others enjoy basking on the sandy beaches and swimming in the river. The iconic Kettle River Trestle at the day-use serves as a beautiful backdrop for park users and is a great photo opportunity! Reservations are strongly recommended during peak season, however last-minute campers may be able to find a spot in July and August. Spring and Fall campers enjoy large, sun-filled sites in a peaceful, pristine setting. Firewood and ice are available for sale at the Host Site. Open from the first weekend in May through the last weekend in September.
