Backyard Vineyards is nestled in the lush countryside of south Langley, less than an hour's drive from Vancouver. At Backyard Vineyards they harvest from their own Fraser Valley Estate vineyards and from their farmers' vineyards in the Okanagan Valley. Since opening in 2009 their wines have been recognized both locally and internationally, winning over 30 medals for quality and flavour. Reaching dedicated wine lovers and new tasters alike, they pride themselves in producing exceptional BC VQA wines at affordable prices. The tasting room and wine shop is open year round, providing an intimate setting to sample and enjoy. Journey back in time at Ross Bay Villa Historic House Museum, a volunteer-led museum and restoration project located in Fairfield. On Thursdays and Fridays at 11AM and 1PM, or Saturdays at 2PM, walk down the path past heritage apple trees and beautiful gardens and step into one of only a few 1860s houses still standing in Victoria. From the bright and airy drawing room to the charming childrens bedroom, the house has been restored with extraordinary care to appear as it did when the Roscoe family called it home. Mackie Lake House is an historic 1910 home situated on the shores of Kalamalka Lake in Coldstream BC. It is operated by a non-profit society and offers tours, special events, and facility rentals. Join us for a guided tour or site visit (open seasonally from June - September). Mackie Lake House is a picnic-encouraged site. Out of respect to our local wildlife, no pets are permitted.
