Yasodhara Ashram is a yoga retreat and study centre founded by Swami Sivananda Radha in 1963, in Kootenay Bay, British Columbia, Canada. Set in the beautiful mountains of southeastern British Columbia, we invite people of all ages and backgrounds to pursue their self-development and discover the promise of yoga. We offer a wide range of yoga programs year round from a three-month intensive, to Restorative Retreats, 5&7 Day Retreats, 12 Day Yoga Journey, teacher certifications and introductions to yoga. Our popular Service programs are for those interested in learning about Karma Yoga, or the yoga of selfless service, our main spiritual practice. We are also home to the Temple of Light, symbol of peace, hope and unity open to all.

Phantom Creek Estates is home to estate vineyards across two distinct benches in the Okanagan Valley. Uniquely influenced by geological forces millennia in the making, today these acclaimed, historic vineyards are each farmed according to meticulous organic and biodynamic techniques.

Interact, pet and hold the small critters in the petting pen. Feed from your animal goodie bag, say hello to the talking horse, sitting micro pig who makes funny faces, and walking goat. Experience the excitement of the early West Coast fur trade at Fort Langley and stand in the spot where BC was proclaimed a British colony in 1858. Explore the scenic fort - built by the Hudsons Bay Company in 1827 - where fur traders once exchanged furs, salmon and cranberries with Indigenous communities. Fort Langley is packed with interactive displays and activities for the whole family, including a children's play area. Watch blacksmithing, barrel-making and baking demonstrations, or pan for gold and laugh along with an interpretive program. Castlegar Sculpturewalk is an annual exhibition of outdoor sculptures, located on a pleasant walking tour in downtown Castlegar. Viewers are encouraged to vote for their favourite sculpture via ballot - the winner of the People's Choice award is purchased by the City for the permanent collections. All of the artworks are available for sale or lease. Ballots/maps are located in red ballot boxes along the route (the start of the route is at the Kootenay Market (635 Columbia Avenue), though you can begin the walk from anywhere. Ballots/maps are also available at the Castlegar Chamber of Commerce, City Hall, or the Kootenay Gallery.
