Mark Loria Gallery is one of the leading indigenous art galleries in the world specializing in contemporary art from the Northwest Coast of Canada. The Victoria Golf Club, founded in 1893, is the oldest course in Canada on its original location, and second oldest in North America. The course began as 14 holes but quickly expanded to 18 in 1895. There have been at least three different lay-outs - the one played today was finalized in the mid-1920s (after a decision in 1923 to end the practice of hitting tee shots on two holes across the ever-busier Beach Drive). Our stately Clubhouse, completed in 1928, is a registered Canadian Historic Place and has undergone a number of expansions and renovations (including the most recent in 1993) and provides a grand and comfortable venue to begin your own memories. When you walk through this storied building you'll be reminded of a rich history of golf, companionship and community that spans over generations. Perhaps one of the more obscure yet heartwarming examples is a series of photos of a foursome on the course, taken annually on the same date over five decades. Golfing Legends For more than a century, famous names have graced our course, including golfing greats Harry Vardon, Byron Nelson, Joyce Wethered, Ben Hogan, Al Geiberger, Pat Bradley, George Knudson, Sam Snead, Dawn Coe Jones and Johnny Miller just to mention a few. Numerous celebrities, like Bob Hope, Bing Crosby, Wayne Gretzky, Pamela Anderson and Kiefer Sutherland have also been drawn to the seaside links through the years, not only to play but also in support of charitable causes. History continues to be made in the annual Victoria and Seattle GC inter-club, a home and home friendly that is the oldest international golf tournament in North America (since 1895). The Seniors North West Championship, representing players of various levels from the U.S Pacific northwest, British Columbia and Alberta, continues to be hosted by VGC for eighty plus years now.

I have a 24 ft fully Transport Canada certified fishing boat with all the amenities. Safety gear, fishing gear, toilet on board. It can fish 4 people very comfortably. As a Fishing Guide I am very passionate about what I do. I love showing people how much fun can be had on the water! Catching fish, telling stories and having lots of laughs. A gem of Vancouver Island Heritage; Filberg Park is nine acres of breathtakingly landscaped waterfront green space, gardens and heritage buildings, in Comox, British Columbia. The park features 130 varieties of trees, seasonal gardens, and hundreds of rhododendrons.At the heart of the site is the 1930s heritage lodge, the former home of local pioneers Robert and Florence Filberg. Filberg Heritage Lodge and Park have become a popular venue for picnics, weddings, art shows and special events including the popular Filberg Festival held each year on BC Day long weekend in August. Amenities include the Filberg Gift Shop* and Filberg Tea House. Both are open seasonally May to September.Entry to the Lodge is by donation and the park is free of charge except during special events. *Lodge and Gift Shop are open subject to volunteer availability.
