The Barn building on our property was left empty at the end of our horses lives. Not wanting to have the building unused, we eventually decided to expand our home-based art and photography business which had been housed for years in our much smaller studio into this great new space. After months of renovations ART IN THE BARN GALLERY was born. We went on, to further renovate space to house Gabriels full-service, in-house Photography Studio and a full service on site framing shop. We both have a long history of working in Victoria as well as years of experience in our professions and work spanning Canada and other countries. It is fabulous to have such a wonderful place to showcase our work. While we predominantly display our own art and photography, we also occasionally host other talented people with locally made artwork for display and sale which includes pottery, jewelry. A must see. Utopia Feels Botanical Glampground is nestled in what used to be an old nursery. Many different species of trees create a utopian effect. Our motto is happiness above all else! We have 20 acres of beautiful land to explore! Our 10 Glamping tents are huge and spacious. They are decorated to suit the most discerning of tastes. Outfitted with Queen size beds and a multitude of cots and floor mattresses to accommodate even the biggest of groups. We have a big campfire and multiple places to picnic and share a meal with your family and friends. Hit up our pens and spend some time with our Jersey calf Skim, Flemish giant rabbit (Bad), our Kunekune pig (Trippie Redd), Nubian buckling Noodles, and 2 billy goats (Silly and Billy). You could also cozy on down by the fire at night and enjoy a drink... or a puff! Listen to some music and have a good old time. Escape the city and see what farm life is really about! 9 minutes to Kalamalka Beach! 8 minutes to Vernon and all its amenities, world-class off-roading, mountain biking, ATV trails, orchards, and wineries. This Farmers' Market offers a unique experience with a permanent outdoor marketplace during the spring/summer including vendor booths, a food barn, a bandshell for local music and a miniature train that runs during the Sunday market. Country Maples RV Resort is located on Vancouver Island near the town of Chemainus, which is 14 km north of the City of Duncan. The Resort is nestled along the Chemainus River and is buffered by an old-growth forest. There is a variety of camping areas and amenities with 175 full and partial hookup RV sites (including 8 pull-throughs) with 15, 30 and 50-amp electrical service as well as dry camping and tenting sites. There are treed and open sites. There is an onsite (seasonal) general store, playgrounds, an arcade and laundry facilities; a heated swimming pool, 18-hole mini golf course.
