Jags Beanstalk is a family owned bistro with four guest rooms. Located in Skidegate on Haida Gwaii, just 1 mile north of BC Ferry Terminal and a 10 minute walk to the Haida Heritage Centre. The bistro is open 6 days a week & closed on Sunday. Bistro serves a full breakfast & lunch menu, espresso coffee & fresh daily pastries. Four guest rooms each have a view w/private bath, cable tv & wifi.

Where History Comes to Life - Stroll down the streets of our 1920s community. Period costumed townsfolk welcome visitors and give demonstrations in the homes, businesses and shops. Visitors can feel the heat of the fire as the blacksmith works at the forge, hear the rhythm of the platen press at the Burnaby Post, smell freshly ground coffee in the General Store, be a 1920s student in a one-room schoolhouse, watch the tinsmith cut, crimp & curl flat sheets of tin into useful household items. Everyone is welcome to take a ride on the 1912 CW Parker Carousel, explore the restored 1912 Interurban Tram, and enjoy a treat in the Ice Cream Parlour. The Village is open seasonally (Spring Break in March, Summer Season- early May to Labour Day, and Heritage Christmas-late November to early January) and year-round for pre-booked groups and programs.

From May through October, Haig-Brown Heritage House, nestled on the Campbell River, offers unique Bed and Breakfast accommodations. Plus, we include two headlamps to make your way around safely after dusk. Full rear hatch kitchen with electric cooler and a two burner stove, sink, power station, faucet and prep area Pop up the hatch and you’ll find a functional kitchen with all of the fixings. This includes an electric cooler/freezer combo (no ice needed!), sink, and two-burner stove with propane, plus all the cookware, utensils, and cutlery down to a corkscrew and can opener that you’ll need while exploring. A jackery 500 power station fuels the fridge… this has enough juice to keep it cold for two days. If you’re putting some clicks on the crosstrek in between, it will charge as you drive and last much longer, and you can charge anything else that needs a boost in the meantime.
