Started by Karnail Singh Sidhu and family, Kalala has been making award winning, reasonably priced wines since July 2006. The vineyards were deemed certified organic in September 2010. Our philosophy is to allow the varietal characteristics and terroir to be truly expressed and only enhanced by minimal handling during winemaking. Gallery 2 is Boundary Countrys Public Art Gallery. Featuring engaging contemporary art exhibitions, an artisanal gift shop, and a vibrant art rental program, the gallery provides visitor information and experiences to tourists and locals alike. Located in beautiful Cow Bay, Saltwater Bakery and Provisions is a place to come together. The bakery offers an array of artisanal breads, sweet and savoury pastries, and signature desserts as well as homemade ice cream and a selection of local products from across Northern BC. Saltwater is the essence of life on the North Coast and symbolizes two of the essential three ingredients in traditional bread making – grain, water, and salt – brought to life by natural fermentation through the skilled hands of the craft baker. Historically, Island Mountain Arts has sought to provide opportunities for the exhibition of professional artists in northern BC, for the benefit of both artists and northern communities. Relative to major urban centres, there have been minimal venues for exhibitions in the north, resulting in limited access to cultural activities for residents of small, isolated, or northern communities. Prior to 1988, Island Mountain Arts occasionally produced professional exhibitions by partnering with venues in Wells such as the Wells-Barkerville School, the Community Hall and the Wells Hotel, to exhibit artwork. With the restoration of the Hill Meat Market building in 1988 and creation of a public gallery, IMA was at last able to provide a secure professional venue for exhibits in Wells.

Having grown grapes for the last 20 years we have established ourselves as one of the premier award winning grape growers in the valley. Our story started with our family immigrating from India in the 1990's and making Okanagan our home. We have always worked to establish ourselves as hard working and determined family. The name Kismet is derived from the Punjabi word 'destiny'.
