The Stake Lake Trails, managed by the Overlander Ski Club, are just a 20-minute drive southwest of Kamloops, offering 60 km of meticulously groomed cross-country ski trails for both classic and skate skiing as well as 12 km of snowshoe trails.
Point Ellice House stands as a symbol of heritage preservation and cross-cultural understanding. Constructed between 1861 and 1862, it houses one of Canadas most extensive Victorian-era collections. Featuring heritage architecture, expansive gardens, nature trails, and a picturesque waterfront setting, it is a distinctive destination on Vancouver Island. Today it serves as a unique monument to both a bygone era and the ongoing journey towards greater understanding and healing with First Nations and Métis communities. The commitment to acknowledging the complex historical impacts associated with its former resident marks Point Ellice House as a critical space for fostering dialogue and reconciliation. Point Ellice House serves as a beacon of heritage preservation and cross-cultural understanding, inviting visitors to explore, learn, and connect. Rocky Mountain Buffalo Ranch & Guest Cottage ~ Buffalo Tours. A working Buffalo & Guest Ranch. We offer educational buffalo tours daily May thru September. The owner, Leo Downey, does one tour every morning May 15th thru September, starting at 10:15 a.m. (Alberta Time )This includes the native fire making demonstration. We also offer year round accommodations in our fully furnished guest cottage and our peaceful cabin by the creek,, Wagon in the Woods and Buffalero's Bunkhouse in the Barn. Make yourself at home, see buffalo in their natural social order, learn about them first hand, wander the ranch and our pristine river frontage on the beautiful Blaeberry River.

The Museum, formerly the Port Moody Station Museum, is owned and operated by the Port Moody Heritage Society (PMHS) to promote and increase the awareness and knowledge of Port Moody’s heritage and history. Exhibitions at the Museum include the Historic Port Moody CPR Station itself, now in its 3rd location. See artifacts and walk through the parlour, kitchen, and telegraph room, recreated to reflect the station as it was in the 1930s. The Museum is currently featuring the exhibit ‘Port Moody Industries’ & ‘Our Living Languages: First Peoples Voices in BC’, on loan from the Royal Museum of BC, and our own ‘Inclusion’ Exhibit. We’re committed to Reconciliation and sharing the histories of Indigenous Peoples. Enjoy community displays, the Heritage Garden and the Meditation Garden. Our restored 1921 CPR railcar, the “Venosta”, is available to explore or to rent for events.
