Vanderhoof Tourism and Cultural Centre

The Vanderhoof Tourism and Cultural Centre opened its doors on June 30, 2022 and is located on the corner of Highway 16 and Pine Street on the traditional territory of Saikuz First Nation. Stop in to pick up some brochures, check out some local art, and chat with one of the friendly Visitor Services Specialists about the exciting things you can do in Vanderhoof. The Vanderhoof Community Museum is also located on these grounds. We encourage you to take a tour through our collection of six historic buildings at your own pace or with a guide. Admission is by donation and includes a large RV parking lot, free WIFI, wheelchair accessible picnic tables and a 1.5km interpretive walking trail. We hope to see you soon!

The Museum, formerly the Port Moody Station Museum, is owned and operated by the Port Moody Heritage Society (PMHS) to promote and increase the awareness and knowledge of Port Moody’s heritage and history. Exhibitions at the Museum include the Historic Port Moody CPR Station itself, now in its 3rd location. See artifacts and walk through the parlour, kitchen, and telegraph room, recreated to reflect the station as it was in the 1930s. The Museum is currently featuring the exhibit ‘Port Moody Industries’ & ‘Our Living Languages: First Peoples Voices in BC’, on loan from the Royal Museum of BC, and our own ‘Inclusion’ Exhibit. We’re committed to Reconciliation and sharing the histories of Indigenous Peoples. Enjoy community displays, the Heritage Garden and the Meditation Garden.
