The Tumbler Ridge Museum is home to the Dinosaur Discovery Gallery and the Peace Region Paleontology Research Centre. The central display features a full-scale re-creation of a 100 million-year-old dinosaur track environment, with additional displays on dinosaur and other vertebrate tracks and traces, which make up the vast majority of the terrestrial vertebrate record of western Canada. The interactive theatre provides several presentation options for visitors to view and learn about the pre-history of the Peace Region of British Columbia. During the summer the Gallery offers Trackway Tours, Day Camps for kids ages 7 13, and Drop in programs for kids and families of all ages. The Tumbler Ridge Human History Gallery is housed in the Community Centre with free access during regular Centre hours.

Home to the Worlds Largest Sculptured Anvil! We are open from April 1st until September 30th, 7 days a week. Something of interest for every age. Kids of all ages love our scavenger hunt, rope making, tomato and egg sorting demonstrations. Visitors learn how people lived without electricity and can see first-hand wooden ice boxes (early refrigerators), see early windmills that pump water and produce light. nearing 100 years old and still running! For the middle aged and senior visitors our artifacts bring back many memories of how folks lived. Remembering what life was like as a kid, seeing the transition from horse power to engines. The collection of artifacts by the Association has evolved from focusing on farming equipment only, to including historical artifacts depicting all aspects of pioneer life. The Museum collection has grown to over 6,100 historical artifacts of farming equipment and pioneer life in British Columbia, on display in two buildings and an outside exhibit area.

We rent and DELIVER kayaks and paddle boards to Lake of the Woods or Kawkawa Lake. We drop off and pick up equipment at no extra charge in Hope, B.C.

Hi, my name is Josephine, and I am the Property Manager here at TikiVillage in beautiful Vernon, BC. Our beautiful garden area is so relaxing and it was wonderful to see barbecues for the guest use. I have grown to love my job and I am very lucky to have met so many wonderful people from all over the world. I want to announce that I am aware that we show our age, but the rooms and linens are clean and you wont ever meet a greater team. The Tiki will be retiring soon to make way for a bigger Hotel, so we are what we are and we strive to make up for it in many other ways. Kayaking is the best way to see Victoria. We specialize in safe, fun and educational kayak tours of Victoria's Harbour and waterfront. Our floating location at Fisherman's Wharf is a 10 minute walk from the cruise ship terminal and 20 minutes from downtown on the scenic boardwalk. We are the closest kayak shop to the Juan de Fuca straight, so when conditions allow, we will paddle along the coast to the kelp forests and an island the harbour seals frequent. Along the way we may see different shore birds like eagles, osprey, oystercatchers, cormorants, and the great blue heron. Starfish, jelly fish and kelp crabs are usually hiding just below the surface. Kayaking is easy and we make it easier by offering paddling jackets, gloves and a bottle of water. Plus on our kayak launch you won't even get your feet wet!
