NDO can provide equipment and a guide to help you enjoy whatever underwater experience you desire. From shore snorkel trips and scuba diving to boat charters to go snorkeling with the seals or scuba diving, there is something for everyone. The Shepherd is our 33ft aluminum dive boat that can take you to some great dive spots including walls, reefs, and artificial reefs or wrecks. She has a large covered deck, storage space below the benches and over head nets for dry storage, an awesome dive ladder, and a marine head.

1, 2 or 3 bedroom condo apartments with full kitchens available for nightly rental. Clean & quiet, centrally located downtown on a quiet residential street on a grassy, hedged lot. No smoking. No pets. Daily housekeeping. Free access to West Coast Fitness Centre (indoor pool, 3000 sq ft gym and sauna located 1 block North. Free WIFI and optik TV. BBQ onsite. 1 bedroom suites are child-friendly, however we do not accept children under 12 in the 2 or 3 bedroom suites. The Whale's Tail is within walking distance to restaurants, whale watching and fishing, the harbour and to Big Beach and the Wild Pacific Trail. 10 minute drive to Pacific Rim National Park (Long Beach) and 30 minute drive to Tofino, which is located on the other side of Long Beach. Front desk location is 1 Block North at West Coast Motel on the Harbour on Hemlock Street.
Summerland Heritage Cider Company
Come to our tasting room nestled in the orchard and sample a variety of ciders, with an opportunity to purchase. We have a picnic area on the patio and grass, so bring your lunch to enjoy after a cool tasting of cider. Our orchards back right onto Trout Creek, so feel free to wander through the gently swaying trees and stay a while!
The Old Schoolhouse Arts Centre
The Old School House Arts Centre is the bright yellow community arts centre with a big history nestled in the heart of the picturesque community of Qualicum Beach on Vancouver Island. The Old School House Arts Centre houses ten shared Resident artist's studios and is an established public art gallery and art learning centre. Sprinkled throughout the building are gifting items featuring the work of Island artists, and there are over 80 classes a year to partake in. The Old School House is a non-profit charitable organization that provides vibrant community programming that is open to all - regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, religious affiliation, financial status, age, sexual orientation, political belief, or physical limitation.
Woodcutter Cabins
These beautiful, peaceful cabins include some of Big White's newest and most exclusive vacation home offerings. Generous bright spaces, rustic post and beam construction and large natural stone fireplaces make it a joy to unwind after a great day on the slopes. The cabins are directly off the Woodcutter run, with fabulous views from the large balconies and private hot tubs. A lighted walking path provides quick access to the village center.

May through September you can fish for hard fighting Chinooks 5 to 50 pounds - delicious Sockeye 5 to 12 pounds, energetic Coho 5 to 24 pounds, scrappy Pinks 5 to 8 and hard fighting Chums 6 to 20 pounds July through October - yummy Winter Chinooks 5 to 20 pounds November into March.
