Established in 1988 as a Backcountry lodge to enable everyone access to a truly secluded piece of the Canadian Rocky Mountains in a safe manor. Meet the Business Owner: David an ACMG certified ski guide for the last 30 years. The mountains are truly his passion. Guiding in many industries such as Ski touring, Heli and Cat skiing in a few different country's . He has made his home with his family in Golden BC and at Mistaya Lodge. David was working at Mistaya from day one and took over ownership in 2003. We host small groups of no more that 14 guests at a time. We are a family owned and operated small business that would love to show you around our little back yard in the summer or in the winter.

Excellent 300 acre facility and we also host kids summer and winter camps. The massive mountain rises 4000 vertical ft and covers 3000 acres of terrain suitable for all abilities. After an exhilarating day on the slopes guests rejuvenate in Canadas largest slopeside hot-pools. The resorts relaxed character and abundance of onsite activities including heliskiing, Nordic skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling and tubing make it a favourite for destination skiers. Parwood is an 18 hole disc golf course located in Sparwood, BC. The course is rugged and is built on the side of a mountain. The course is made up of 18 Innova baskets with yellow metal bands. The course is located at the end of the old ski hill road (Sparwood Heights Drive), behind Sycamore Rd. Visit the Leisure Centre (367 Pine Ave) to get maps, discs, brochures and instructions.
