Our staff are avid outdoor enthusiasts, certified wilderness guides, and educators who offer a wealth of local knowledge to get you the right gear for your adventures. Whether you're shopping in store or coming on a guided tour, we strive to make your experience top notch. In summer- we'll take you paddling anywhere from Gibsons to Pender Harbour, with Sechelt Inlet and Thormanby Island inbetween! In winter we are your Dakota Ridge specialists, offering regular road and trail condition reports, 4x4 winter transportation, and of course rental equipment, tours, and a variety lessons suited to your abilities.

Located on peaceful Denman Island, Fillongley Provincial Park is a short 10-minute ferry crossing from Buckley Bay (located between Qualicum Beach and the town of Courtenay). Fillongley is a popular small campground. It has 10 oceanside, compact campsites. It is 80% reservable and reservations are strongly recommended due to the limited number of campsites available. This is the only provincial campground on Denman Island; campers may camp in the adjacent day-use parking lot overnight when the main campground is full (regular camping fees apply to overflow camping).

Amaruq is based out of Victoria, BC, and offers guided motorcycle adventures spanning the entire length of Vancouver Island, as well as the Chilcotin Plateau and the Rockies. Our trips run anywhere from one to nine days, and our workshops are all one-day events focusing on either GPS Navigation on Motorcycles or Adventure Touring Skills. Panabode Log units in beautiful treed location, close to beach and all amenities. Rooms 1 thru 5 all have fridges, microwaves, coffee makers, dishes etc. Units 6 and 7 are full kitchenettes. Sicamous is Canada s houseboat capital and sits on the channel joining Shuswap and Mara Lakes. In the winter months snowmobiling is the sport that makes this area a year round destination.

Since 1958, the Museum has moved several times. The current configuration has the Museum housed in the Citys former City Hall building while the object storage and Chilliwack Archives are housed in a municipally owned structure three blocks from the museum.
