Malahat SkyWalk opened in July 2021 as the newest outdoor experience providing the ultimate natural high on Vancouver Island located 35 minutes north of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. Accessible by all ages and wheelchair-friendly, it will immerse visitors in nature as they embark on a 600 metre-long elevated walkway through an expansive Arbutus and Douglas Fir forest, leading to a 10-storey, architecturally-inspiring spiral tower lookout the first of its kind in B.C. Rising 250 metres above sea level, guests can enjoy 360-degree views of islands, inlets, fjords, forests and mountains in two countries. An adventure net suspended partially across the centre of the Spiral Tower provides daring guests with another breathtaking perspective on the spiraling structure below before returning to ground level with an option to take an exhilarating ride down a 20 metre (65 ft) spiral slide. Our seasonal "Caboose" Mackenzie Visitor Centre is open from May to September and is located at the Junction of Hwy 97 & Hwy 39. Year-round, you can visit the Visitor Centre in the Mackenzie Chamber of Commerce at #11-600 Mackenzie Boulevard, Mackenzie, BC for all of your tourism information and souvenirs. While staying at the lodge enjoy wildlife art, big game trophies, wildlife viewing, fishing, quiet evenings, snowmobile tours, big screen television, nature hikes, home cooked meals, cross country skiing, snow shoeing, billiards table. Almost every evening you will see rocky mountain elk as well as white tail and mule deer. Take a short walk and you may even see stone sheep. There are many trails throughout the ranch and surrounding area for hiking and cross country skiing. The over two acre lawn provides lots of room for children to stretch their legs and play.Bed and BreakfastEnjoy a relaxing stay at our beautiful cedar lodge. We have four guest rooms with room for up to 12 guests. Each room has a queen bed as well as at least one twin bed. All four rooms share two bathrooms. There is a billiards table and TV along with a large selection of movies to enjoy, in the winter times we have a nice wood stove to warm you while you relax for the evening. Breakfast is served every day on your time schedule. Lunch and Supper are also available with prior notice. We are open Year Around but are petty busy during our hunting season August 1 through Oct 15.
