Guests can take advantage of a flightseeing tour and have a birds' eye view of Hunlen Falls, Rainbow Mountains and the Monarch Icefields. The rare white pelican, bald eagles, loons and river otters are just some of the diverse species that you will find locally. A short, 2 hour drive down the famous Hill, or Freedom Highway, is the Bella Coola Valley and the Great Bear Rainforest. Don't forget your camera as you transition from pine plateau to coastal rainforest, as there will be many photo opportunities along the way including grizzly bears and snow capped mountains. Vaseux Lake Provincial Park is a popular roadside campground that provides excellent fishing opportunities for bass, trout and carp. This park boasts beautiful lakeside sites. It is conveniently located on Highway 97 between OK Falls and Oliver. It is minutes away from amenities and popular tourist spots. Viewing platforms at Vaseux Wildlife Centre offer excellent nature sighting opportunities for birds, aquatic life, mountain goats and big horn sheep. Park users at Vaseux Wildlife Centre should use caution as poison ivy is common in the area. Open from the first weekend in April through Thanksgiving Weekend.

Bethlehem Centre is a cottage-at-the-lake style retreat and conference centre. Ideal for residential groups of 10-40 people, the Centre offers an all-inclusive experience with full meal service and on-site opportunities for quiet reflection and spiritual path-making. Situated on the shores of Westwood Lake at the foot of Mount Benson in Nanaimo, the Centre is a 5-minute walk from a swimming beach, is surrounded by forest, and is connected to miles of hiking trails.
