Tide Rip Grizzly Tours Ltd. is a small independent company located in Telegraph Cove on Northern Vancouver Island, British Columbia. For over 15 years, Tide Rip has been leading daily boat-based expeditions to view and photograph the wild grizzly bears and other spectacular wildlife native to coastal British Columbia. We subscribe to the philosophy: 'conservation through coexistence' and endeavour to promote that through outreach education programs and presentations, fundraising projects, and sponsoring conservation NGOs, in addition to our daily grizzly bear tours.
The Fair at the PNE is the best part of summer! For the last two weeks of August through the Labour Day long weekend, The Fair features more than 50 rides and attractions, nightly concerts, live performances, agricultural and animal displays, games, and food. It's fun for all ages plus children 13 years and under are free with an adult admission. The Pacific National Exhibition (PNE) fairgrounds was established in 1910 to showcase British Columbia. The PNE operates on a 114-acre site at the City of Vancouver-owned Hastings Park and consists of Playland, the annual 15-day Fair at the PNE, and Fright Nights at Playland. The PNE also includes year-round rental facilities for concerts, conventions, trade shows and sporting events with the Pacific Coliseum the largest venue within Hastings Park. The Pacific Coliseum was proud to be the official venue for Short Track Speed Skating and Figure Skating during the 2010 Winter Olympic Games and is currently home to the WHL's Vancouver Giants hockey team. No single location in Vancouver captures the spirit and history of this city, its people and its many achievements as the Pacific National Exhibition. For over 100 years, millions of guests have enjoyed shows, exhibits, sporting events, amusement rides, concerts, cultural activities and, of course, the annual Fair at the PNE. Our spacious 34' charter vessel provides ample comfortable seating and our full bathroom facilities on board ensures a comfortable day for all our guests. As a full service company, we provide on-board non-alcoholic beverages, snacks, lunch and treat for the ride back to the marina in Kitimat.
The Nechako White Sturgeon Conservation Centre hatchery program is dedicated to maintaining genetic diversity and conserving the population of the Nechako White Sturgeon. The hatchery is used to rear sturgeon eggs into one-year old sturgeon for release into the river. Research projects and programs also run out of the hatchery. Visitor Hours: Tours currently available by appointment only. Call the hatchery at 250-567-6673, email nechako@gofishbc.com or email info@nechakowhitesturgeon.org to book.There is an Community Fishing Pond stocked with rainbow trout on-site that is open for public fishing (catch-and-release only) on a drop-in basis. Free rod and tackle gear is available. Adults 16 years+ require a basic fishing licence. The Trout Fishing Pond is open May 1 October 31, dawn to dusk.

The West Coast Railway Association presents the story of how the railways were a catalyst in the creation of Western Canadian communities and their economies. This is done primarily at the Railway Museum of British Columbia (formerly the West Coast Railway Heritage Park) in Squamish, BC, where the collection of 95 heritage railway locomotives and cars are exhibited in a typical small community setting. WCRA also operates the Locomotive 374 Pavilion in Vancouver.
