Metchosin ArtPod is an artist-run collective and gallery located in the rural village of Metchosin, on Greater Victorias West Shore. We support local visual artists by offering opportunities to learn, create, show, and sell original work, and offer the community a venue for engaging with the visual arts. We offer: open calls for art submissions to artists in our region and beyond; externally juried art shows and sales in a gallery setting; show opening events, featured artist talks, and discussion forums; weekly drop-in art sessions; art workshops, resource networks and learning opportunities. Art drop-in sessions are held during the week, and the gallery is open Fri -Sun, 11-4. We are located in a rural village, surrounded by cafes, a micro-brewery, artist studios, historic sites, and many farms, parks and trails. So many options for art lovers Well worth a visit!

Mabel Lake Golf Course is a 9 hole golf course, designed and built by Les Furber. Our chalet style clubhouse features a fully licensed restaurant & patio, pro shop, plus banquet and meeting facilities. An easily-accessible, roadside park with a sub-alpine lake, Nancy Greene Provincial Park is a welcoming and convenient site for day-users and campers. The park is a popular overnight stop for RVer's and also provides day-use for local residents wishing to escape the summer heat of the valley. It's picturesque lake makes it a great spot to enjoy fishing, picnicking, walking, swimming, and nordic skiing in the winter. Grizzly Bear sightings are common in Spring and early Summer. Open from May 15 through the last weekend in September.

We don't have much of a lake-view of Osoyoos Lake from our balcony suites, although we do have good views of Peanut Lake which is quite close to the motel.
