POMO Museum
On the picturesque shore at the end of the Burrard Inlet lies the POMO Museum, once the committed terminus of the Canadian Pacific Railway at the first navigable tide waters of the Pacific Ocean. The Museum, formerly the Port Moody Station Museum, is owned and operated by the Port Moody Heritage Society (PMHS) to promote and increase the awareness and knowledge of Port Moody’s heritage and history. Exhibitions at the Museum include the Historic Port Moody CPR Station itself, now in its 3rd location. See artifacts and walk through the parlour, kitchen, and telegraph room, recreated to reflect the station as it was in the 1930s. The Museum is currently featuring the exhibit ‘Port Moody Industries’ & ‘Our Living Languages: First Peoples Voices in BC’, on loan from the Royal Museum of BC, and our own ‘Inclusion’ Exhibit. We’re committed to Reconciliation and sharing the histories of Indigenous Peoples. Enjoy community displays, the Heritage Garden and the Meditation Garden. Our restored 1921 CPR railcar, the “Venosta”, is available to explore or to rent for events. Silver Tip Lodge Heli-Skiing is the most remote, rustic and exclusive Heli-Ski experience available today, located in the majestic Cariboo Mountains in British Columbia. Tete Jaune Lodge
Tete Jaune Lodge and Campground is located on the scenic Fraser River. There are cabins, campsites and RV sites with power and water as well as the 14 easy access rooms. The Riverside Cafe is open for dinner 5 pm - 9 pm nightly from July until September 15. Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays rest of the season. Whitewater rafting is on site and bikes are free for your use. Mt. Robson is only a 10 minute drive and Jasper is 1 hour.
