Nestled in a coastal cottage community, it is situated on a high bluff offering stunning views towards Carmanah/Walbran UNESCO biosphere and the West Coast Trail - a hike of a lifetime. Watch bald eagles and ospreys; it is a birders’ delight. This is the magic of Bjørn Holm. Bjørn Holm showcases original artwork and traditional carvings, custom woodwork, and hand-crafted furniture. Every aspect charms. The beauty is in the detail. Enjoy the warmth and freedom of our personal space. Dedicated parking for our cottage is available for your use as well as complimentary wireless internet. We offer the comforts of home. The bedroom has a queen-size bed and conveniently located USB charging stations. Take pleasure in quality linens/duvets/feather toppers. The bathroom offers heated towel racks and tile flooring, as well a curbless walk-in shower. Toiletries are well stocked, including a portable first aid kit for day-long hikes. Our kitchen is a fully-equipped with full-size appliances, including a gas range. The outdoor balcony offers a gas barbecue and gas fire pit. Cook with a view ~ Eat with a view ~ Play with a view. The living room offers a flat-screen TV, DVD Player and Bose Surround Sound. Cozy up to the gas fireplace under high vaulted ceilings with full window views of the ocean and forests. Sorrento Centre welcomes large events, small groups and individual guests to relax and enjoy our beautiful 24-acre main campus, including our private waterfront on the Shuswap Lake. Visit hiking trails and biking routes and rest in great beauty. Motel/lodge rooms (some with cooking facilities), private cabins, serviced RV spaces, cozy cabanas and tent sites (including those with a view of Shuswap Lake). Sorrento Centre hosts groups from 5 to 500. We have a large site beside the lake, and varied buildings which can offer great versatility to your organization. We have three lodges with comfortable accommodation, several conference spaces and many beautiful outdoor settings for your group to engage in what excites you. Our kitchen is delighted to provide family style meal service to your group of 12 or more. Three meals a day plus snacks are available, with previous arrangement. We use produce from our own farm whenever possible and love to share the bounty of this place. We cater for some dietary concerns creating vegetarian, gluten free, dairy free, and nut free meals when given advance notice. Please ask about choosing your own menu if you have special requests or just loved what you had last time you were visiting.

Upper Bench is also a CFIA registered creamery, using locally sourced, 100% pasteurized Canadian cows milk. All of our cheese are gluten and additive free, and we maintain our Safe Food for Canadians License. We produce washed, bloomy, natural rinds, lactic, and blue cheese, which are purposefully crafted to pair with our wines.
