My individual custom tours are visiting the most beautiful scenic places around Northern Vancouver Island while having a chance to photograph and watch grizzly bears, black bears, killer whales, humpback whales, dolphins, bald eagles and other wildlife. All tours are lead by professional (35+ years) wildlife and nature photographer Rolf Hicker. A maximum of 4 guests per tour makes them ideal for families, photographers of all levels, special needs as well as couples.

Mills Landing is a small oceanfront cottage resort on the west coast of Vancouver Island. Our family has been farming on this lovely part of the Oldfield valley since the late 1950's; first in strawberries, and then loganberries for the island wineries in the mid 1960's to 70's. We planted our vines in 2003 and opened our tasting room in 2012. Just 15 minutes north of Victoria near Butchart Gardens, we specialize in dry white wines and lively, lightly oaked reds. We grow Ortega - a signature grape for Vancouver Island, as well as Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Noir (we make a rose and a red from this grape), Millot and Foch, as well as our low alcohol "Splash". Be sure to check out the new suspension bridge! Park visitors to Elk Falls will enjoy the extensive forest trail network and the hiking and biking opportunities available. Impressive waterfalls serve as a beautiful backdrop while hiking through coastal forests. Minutes from the main campground, visitors can explore the impressive new suspension bridge. Access to the bridge can be found off the Canyon View Trail. Adventurous park users will be awe-struck at the views found from this newly-built attraction! Firewood is available for sale from the Park Operator. Reservations are recommended during peak season, however last-minute campers may be able to find a spot in July and August. Reservations for this park are accepted for arrival dates from mid-May Labour Day. Elk Falls is open year-round (Winter Camping $11/night).
