Kids of all ages love our scavenger hunt, rope making, tomato and egg sorting demonstrations. Visitors learn how people lived without electricity and can see first-hand wooden ice boxes (early refrigerators), see early windmills that pump water and produce light. nearing 100 years old and still running! For the middle aged and senior visitors our artifacts bring back many memories of how folks lived. Remembering what life was like as a kid, seeing the transition from horse power to engines. The collection of artifacts by the Association has evolved from focusing on farming equipment only, to including historical artifacts depicting all aspects of pioneer life. The Museum collection has grown to over 6,100 historical artifacts of farming equipment and pioneer life in British Columbia, on display in two buildings and an outside exhibit area.

Heli-fishing for huge northern Coho salmon (20 lbs. plus) within the pristine rivers of the BC coastline is available during September and October, and wild Steelhead fishing from helicopters are available during April and May.Legacy Lodge offers exceptional fly fishing for Pacific salmon on the calm, protected waters of Rivers Inlet. The dense populations of Coho and Chinook in the waters surrounding Legacy Lodge are aggressive, and will take your fly..... and 200 feet of backing off your reel in seconds! Known around the globe for its magnificent scenery and unparalled salmon fishing, the waters of Rivers Inlet teem with some of the largest Coho and Chinook Salmon in the world. In fact, more 50 to 60 pound Chinook salmon are caught in this fjord-like inlet each year than in any other area in British Columbia. Full of energy and fight, these salmon can battle for hours, over incredible distances.Rivers Inlet lies within the Great Bear Rainforest, the planets last large expanses of coastal temperate rainforest. At 8+ million acres, it is 5 times the size of Banff National Park and represents one of the most diverse ecosystems on the planet. With an unmatched biological output of 500 tons per acre, it's 40 percent greater than tropical rain forests.
