Located in Brentwood Bay B.C., The Butchart Gardens is a world famous 55-acre (22ha) display garden. Started in 1904 by the Butchart’s and still privately owned by the family, The Gardens was designated a National Historic Site of Canada in 2004. A Garden for all seasons, open year-round. In Spring, countless tulips, daffodils, and hyacinths offer a buffet of fragrances and colours. Summer is truly stunning from dawn past dusk featuring the Rose Garden, evening entertainment, subtle night illuminations, and the Saturday firework shows to name a few. Stunning perennial borders start their show in late summer, and the Japanese maples turn to russet, gold, and red in the fall.
