Mountain vistas, sheltered paddling, stunning campsites, abundant wildlife...the Discovery Islands and Mainland Inlets have it all, and with more than 30 years of kayak expeditions under our belts, we can show you the best of the best! Settle in to our off-grid wilderness lodge for an afternoon of kayak skill and safety training before embarking on your kayaking adventure. Meals (both at the lodge and around the campfire) are prepared with organic produce fresh from our garden, eggs from our chickens, local seafood, and home-baked goods. We offer fun and rewarding adventured for all kayaking and fitness abilities. New kayakers are welcome but we also offer exciting challenges for experienced paddlers. We use high quality equipment and our certified kayak guides are friendly, experienced and professional.

A true Similkameen oasis and historic site featuring Western Canada's only working waterwheel-powered flour mill, lovely gardens and much more. Enjoy informative tours, lunch in our restaurant, local products in the gift shop or an overnight stay in our campground. We also host many community and special events through the season including workshops, presentations, concerts, weddings and more.

We are a full time, year-round fishing charter company striving to give you the best in the industry. We offer both Saltwater and Freshwater fishing trips 11 months of the year targeting Salmon, Steelhead, Trout and Bottom fish. We strive to make your visit to Campbell River the best trip ever, by offering fun and relaxing fishing trips. Our ocean trips are inside passage waters with no swell so sea sickness is not an issue. E. C. Manning Provincial Park is a focus of outdoor recreation that is unique in British Columbia. Located in the heart of the Cascade Mountains, it is within a three hour drive from either the Lower Mainland (Vancouver) or the Okanagan. The climate and geography have combined to make this park an all-season recreation area. There are 4 provincial front-country campgrounds within the park, and multiple backcountry campsites. Within E.C. Manning Provincial Park, there are incredible hiking trails, and multi-purpose trails for biking, horseback riding, snowshoeing, cross-country ski and back-country trails in the winter. The park contains a large number of scenic, historic, floral and fauna attractions with opportunities for fishing, paddling and bird watching. E.C. Manning Park protects over 70 000 hectares of diversified terrain varying from the towering cedar rainforest of Sumallo Grove to the rare 2000+ year old Subalpine Larch forest on Mount Frosty.

From one small berry stand, Maan Farms has grown into a place with something for everyone, whether you want to sample the fresh berries, fruits and vegetables, enjoy the delicious ice cream and jam, make some new friends in the critter corral, get lost in the fall corn maze, enjoy a free wine tasting, whiz by on the zip-line or simply stop by for a visit in the family picnic area. But some things have not changed. Maan Farms still grows the juiciest red strawberries in the Fraser Valley, and we are always happy to greet everyone who stops by, whether they are a familiar face or a first time visitor. Fall attractions include daytime corn maze, pumpkin patch, free pumpkin carving station, haunted evening corn maze, & moonlit hay-wagon rides.

The MV Uchuck III, a 136-foot passenger and freight vessel providing service through Vancouver Island's historic Nootka Sound, Esperanza Inlet and Kyuquot Sound. The Kamloops Art Gallery offers inspiring, provocative, and transformative art experiences of national caliber. Located in Secwepemclecw, it is the largest public art gallery in the Interior of British Columbia and boasts a collection of over 3,100 works of art. With more than 12 exhibitions every year sharing the work of local, national, and international artists, the Gallery offers diverse, accessible, and affordable experiences including talks, tours, and studio-based programs for people of all ages and abilities.

Big Bar Guest Ranch is proudly owned by Stswecemc Xgattem First Nation (SXFN), a community located in a semi-remote area on the the Fraser River, approximately 85 kilometers southwest of Williams Lake. Once two distinct bands, Canoe Creek (Stswecemc) and Dog Creek (Xgattem), our two Secwepemc communities joined together in the late 1800s. We honour our separate histories and our coming together. In the 1860s, more than 10,000 people traversed the Caribou Wagon Roadin search of a new life, land to raise cattle, or a gold strike. Harry Marriott, an immigrant from England, started working for the notorious Gang Ranch, one the largest ranch in Canada. Marriot acquired smaller ranches and land parcels, eventually consolidating them into the O.K Ranching Company, with access over 200,000 acres of cattle country and wilderness. Marriott partnered with his friend and Vancouver banker, George S Harrison and sectioned off 100 acres of their mutual land acquisition for his personal use. This was the beginning of Big Bar Guest Ranch. Much is unchanged since the Harrison family used Big Bar Ranch as their family retreat. The original family home, "The Harrison House", built in 1936 with logs and stone hewn and selected from the property, continues to provide a cozy retreat for guests on holiday relaxing in the great room in front of the fire place, or playing a cowboy song on the guitar in the music room. Big Bar guests have access to the original acreage of the OK Cattle Company, and can venture out across unspoiled pasture lands and forests. What has changed is that Big Bar Guest Ranch is now a part of our shared community vision of becoming an economically and politically self-sustaining community living Secwepemc culture, language, and traditions in a healthy and safe environment.
