The Kelowna Visitor Centre is Kelowna's official travellers' resource; our team can assist you with many services including making reservations for accommodations, attractions, and tours, offering tips for local 'must-sees,' and providing information on how to explore safely. The centre is pedestrian access only, with an accessible layout and a fenced patio for enjoying the view of Okanagan Lake. Parking for passenger vehicles is located nearby on streets, and in lots and parkades. Oversize vehicles can find parking at City Park (1600 Abbott Street).

The BC Wine Information Centre is a wine store with a difference. We love BC wine because it is our home. Our staff have years of intimate wine knowledge that can only come from living in wine country. We commute past vineyards daily and have casual conversations with winemakers weekly when they deliver their wines or shop in our store. We stock over 900 wines from more than 150 BC wineries. Our wine fridge is stocked with ready-chilled bottles of white, rosé, and sparkling wine and The Icon Room features only the most exclusive wines produced in BC. In addition, we have a wide variety of wine accessories, local gourmet food products, gift items, and books about food and wine. While everyone enjoys the wine and the view when they come to visit, the most asked question would have to be about our name...On a cool spring morning in 1929, a small crew from Okanagan Falls set off to a deserted mining camp some 16 miles away from home. Their mission: to dismantle an old wooden church and bring it back to Okanagan Falls.The plan called for a controlled blast of four dynamite sticks inside the church in order to "loosen the nails". Odd as it may seem, the explosion spared the wood from damage during dismantling.Save for losing the steeple, the plan succeeded. Now the 103 year old wooden church stands proudly in its second home of Okanagan Falls and is still an operating United Church. In keeping with its rather remarkable history, the church has since withstood the threat of two major floods, including the disastrous burst of the Okanagan Falls Dam in the early 1950's.In naming our VQA wines "Blasted Church" we celebrate the ingenuity of the initiative to move the church and honor those pioneers for their vision.
