Travelodge Mountview Kamloops Hotel is located in the southwest part of the city with spectacular views of the mountains and the South Thompson River. This Kamloops hotel is conveniently located only 20 km from the airport, just off Highway 1, and offers spacious guestrooms, an indoor hot tub and seasonal outdoor pool. This non-profit society manages over 20 km of nordic trails groomed for classic and skate winter skiing in two areas managed by the club. One area is in town at the Fernie Golf Course featuring 12 km of trails on fairly mellow terrain with wide open spaces. There are also more than 10 km of trails at the Elk Valley Nordic Centre next to Mount Fernie Provincial Park. To reach the Elk Valley Nordic Centre, go west from Fernie on Highway 3. At 3 km from the bridge, turn right at the Island Lake Lodge sign. Follow the road for 0.9 km to the Mt. Fernie Provincial Park sign. Turn left into the overflow parking lot at 0.2 km. The hilly terrain and isolated nature of the trails makes this a very exciting place to ski. The trails link up with the multi-use trails at Fernie Alpine Resort. Trail maps are posted at the kiosks located at the entrances to the trails. Please NO DOGS ON THE TRAILS at any time. The Elk Valley Nordic Centre Warming Hut is located at (49.485633 N, 115.090980 W).

Facilities: 7 small rustic campsites, hand water pump, pit toilets. Location: 6 km north of Oliver on Highway 97. Inkaneep Provincial Park is nestled in tall riverside cottonwoods in a residential area. This park offers wonderful bird watching opportunities. Park users should use caution when hiking around this park; poison ivy is abundant in this area. The park is conveniently located just outside of the town of Oliver. Open from the last weekend in June through Labour Day.

The outdoor fishing ponds are open to the public May 1st to October 31st from dawn to dusk. Pond may be closed to the public during registered programs. Please call ahead to confirm availability.

Sorrento Centre welcomes large events, small groups and individual guests to relax and enjoy our beautiful 24-acre main campus, including our private waterfront on the Shuswap Lake. Visit hiking trails and biking routes and rest in great beauty. Motel/lodge rooms (some with cooking facilities), private cabins, serviced RV spaces, cozy cabanas and tent sites (including those with a view of Shuswap Lake). Sorrento Centre hosts groups from 5 to 500. We have a large site beside the lake, and varied buildings which can offer great versatility to your organization. We have three lodges with comfortable accommodation, several conference spaces and many beautiful outdoor settings for your group to engage in what excites you. Our kitchen is delighted to provide family style meal service to your group of 12 or more. Three meals a day plus snacks are available, with previous arrangement. We use produce from our own farm whenever possible and love to share the bounty of this place. We cater for some dietary concerns creating vegetarian, gluten free, dairy free, and nut free meals when given advance notice. Please ask about choosing your own menu if you have special requests or just loved what you had last time you were visiting.
