Summer time there is a restaraunt 10 minutes south of us and just north of us in Iskut there is a small, very limited in selections, grocery/gas station.

The Contemporary Art Gallery (CAG) is an independent, non-profit public art gallery and one of Canadas leading venues for contemporary art. Offering free access to everyone, we work with artists from Canada and around the world to produce exhibitions, off-site projects, residencies, learning, outreach, community engagement programs, events and publications. Each of these interdependent strands of programming varies in scale, duration and location to challenge how and where we might engage with contemporary visual art.

Nanaimo Museum: Discover Nanaimos fascinating history in our museum located in the VI Conference Centre. The main gallery offers a sense of what life was like for Nanaimo's earliest settlers and the Snuneymuxw First Nation. Our award winning replica coal mine is a popular stop. Beyond Bliss Suites & Spa have two different accommodation offerings, both are beautifully modern, clean and comfortable. There are four one bedroom suites with a King Bed and Queen pullout sofabed, full kitchens,jetted tubs and private balconies. The suites are 700 - 800 sq feet in size and are very comfortable for two and spacious enough for four guests. Two of these suites have an ocean view with a sweeping view of the straight, the mountains and all the local ocean wildlife. **NOTE: there is NO ELEVATOR at this property and it is one flight of stairs from the main reception on Marine Ave if you choose a suite. There are also 3 hotel rooms with ocean views and a semi private deck. They have no kitchen facilities, no bathtub but a lovely shower and are STREET LEVEL entry with no stairs from Marine Ave. With a full service day spa and great retail onsite we are conveniently located in the heart of downtown Powell River with lots of restaurants and shopping to walk to.

The Armstrong Spallumcheen Visitor Centre is the place to begin your North Okanagan experience.
