Whether you are in the planning stages of your vacation or have arrived in the area and don't know where to begin, the Comox Valley's Vancouver Island Visitor Centre is your first stop to create an unforgettable vacation! The Centre also offers a fun and interactive introduction to Vancouver Island from ocean to alpine! Touch a live oyster, identify local trees or explore the region through a touch table of Vancouver Island images. Take a few fun photos of your own and enjoy free WI-Fi so you can catch up on the news at home. There are outdoor picnic tables, pet walking area and a children's play structure. There is even an e-vehicle charge point.
Holly Hill Petting Farm
Holly Hill Petting Farm is the proud home of Vancouver Island's only baby wallabies! We're an interactive and expansive petting farm nestled in the heart of Campbell River. There's always something special happening at the farm, from the Christmas Stable with Santa to the Easter Extravaganza and Pumpkin Patch. From March through October, you're invited to explore and immerse yourself in our free-ranging barnyard. Get ready for a truly hands-on experience as you hold chickens, snuggle baby bunnies, brush mini goats, and hand-feed our friendly alpacas and horse. If you're lucky, you might even witness the birth of a newborn sheep or goat! Currently open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM for drop-in visitors. The Auberge Kicking Horse Guest House was operating as a 3-room B&B before the pandemic. The Auberge now operates as a Guest House Vacation rental only. This is the perfect home away from home. The Auberge is located within walking distance of restaurants and pubs. Our guests have access to a fully equipped kitchen. You will enjoy the open concept large cozy house with an outdoor Jacuzzi tub set on an elevated deck, garage to store safely your sport equipment with a drying rack for ski boots and wet accessories. The house also offers a long driveway that can accommodate up to 4 cars and free wifi. Only 15 minutes from the ski slopes of Kicking Horse Mountain Resort, the Auberge will accommodate up to a maximum of 6 guests.

BBQ onsite. 1 bedroom suites are child-friendly, however we do not accept children under 12 in the 2 or 3 bedroom suites. The Whale's Tail is within walking distance to restaurants, whale watching and fishing, the harbour and to Big Beach and the Wild Pacific Trail. 10 minute drive to Pacific Rim National Park (Long Beach) and 30 minute drive to Tofino, which is located on the other side of Long Beach. Front desk location is 1 Block North at West Coast Motel on the Harbour on Hemlock Street.
