Mountain Addicts is the premiere provider of avalanche education and ski touring guiding in Fernie & Revelstoke, British Columbia, Canada. We offer backcountry ski tours with certified ski guides. We are a licensed provider of the Avalanche Canada Avalanche Skills Training (AST) 1 & 2 courses.

Learn about B.C. freshwater fish, recreational fishing and hatchery operations at our self-guided visitor centre. Visitor Hours: Tuesday Saturday, 10:00 am 3:00 pm. Open March 20 November 28 Fishing pond: registered program participants only. Guided tours and birthday parties can be organized- please contact us for more information. Free rod and tackle loan is available from this location.

Selkirk Mountain Experience has been listed as a "Best Adventure Travel Company on Earth" by National Geographic Adventure, three times. We are a family owned and operated adventure travel company, based at the Durrand Glacier Chalet, outside Revelstoke BC. This is a remote lodge, accessed by helicopter only. During summer months we offer alpine hiking with over 90 km of trails in a pristine and exclusive setting. Our 18 guests and resident marmots and mountain goats are the only beings using this trail network! In the winter we offer backcountry skiing, in the mecca of alpine powder skiing. Our 96 square km of private tenure offer some of the best skiing on earth, both in the alpine and in the trees. Glades, burns, 30+ summits, 10+ glaciers and the deepest snowpack in the Selkirk Mountains. In addition to the Durrand Glacier Chalet, we have two smaller chalets which we use to do overnight ski trips into the further reaches of our area. All three huts are clean, cozy and beautiful wooden chalets. The Durrand Glacier Chalet is our home base, with 11 private bedrooms and a spacious washroom facility steps from the bedrooms. This facility includes hot running showers, sinks and full indoor plumbing attached to a septic system. We also have a new sauna built in summer 2020 (primarily for winter use). The Durrand has fabulous alpine cuisine, with a private chef and a full staff of friendly, hard-working SME family. Touring the waters around Gwaii Haanas National Park Reserve, Haida Heritage Site and National Marine Conservation Area on Haida Gwaii since 1988 has earned us a growing reputation for providing fun, educational and safe wilderness adventures at affordable prices. We offer boat tours from one to four days long including fixed roof accommodations and meals. We rent and transport sea kayaks and passengers into the Gwaii Haanas area. We have a small outdoor gear store at our office in Sandspit. We also own and operate the Seaport B&B in Sandspit.
