Great Bear Lodge offers grizzly bear tours from May to October at a floating lodge in the Great Bear Rainforest. McLean Mill is a rare, surviving example of an early-to-mid 20th century logging and lumber operation in British Columbia. Established in 1925 by Robert Bartlett McLean, his wife Cora and their three sons, it continued as a family-run operation until 1965. McLean Mill was designated a national historic site of Canada in 1989 to commemorate its collection of extant resources related to significant aspects of the forest industry. Whether you wish to take in the history or to go for scenic walk with your family or fur baby, you wont be disappointed. The surroundings are breathtaking and informative. Grab the family, bring a picnic and make it a day at the Mill! 10am-4pm 7-Days/Week during the summer season, however the Mill and Steam Donkey are non operational at this present time. Oyama Lake Eco Lodge is situated on a volcanic lake with 27 islands, 15 cabin rentals, as well as a few camping sites. Stay the night or come up for the day and rent a boat. We offer canoes, kayaks, pedal boats, paddle boards, motorized fishing boats as well as lager pontoon boats. Oyama lake is great for fly fishing, trolling behind a boat, swimming, relaxing or exploring. Three of our cabins come with private washrooms, however, there is also a shared ladies powder room and a shower house on-site. All cabins have their own fire-pit as well as access to a communal BBQ area. There is a small store on-site, but it is recommended that you bring up your own food and water. We are an family oriented RV Campground with rustic cabins and modern cottages. We are located on beautiful Tchesinkut Lake in central BC, 16 km south of Burns Lake. We have 9 full service sites, 28 partial sites and 3 non serviced sites. All sites, cabins and cottages are located on 2300 ft of lakeshore. Our setting is natural with most of the campsites on grassed sites. We are not a hotel. You are required to bring your own linens, pillows and towels for your stays in the cabins and cottages. Cabins require a two night stay and the modern cottages require a seven night stay. Other facilities available are coin showers, coin laundry. Worms, ice and firewood are for sale. In 2016 we upgraded our internet service so the whole resort has wifi. Reservations are required for cabins, cottages and long term stays. One night stays in the campground are by first come first serve. We are proud to have owned and run this campground since 1984.
