Our intimate 38-acre setting on Malcolm Island welcomes families, friends, business associates, and individuals as guests. A maximum of 18 guests per trip allows for personal service that cannot be matched. Built in the mid 1900s, the lodge is rich in history and unique architecture. The main lodge is the center of the property where you spend cocktail hour, and dine in our ocean view dining room. Our historic farm setting is also home to a herd of alpacas. While at Sointula Lodge, guests stay in one of our 12 guest rooms, which are either original Cedar cabins or small log cabins built with Vancouver Island Douglas Fir trees. All of our cabins are furnished to feel like a home away from home. Most rooms have two beds in each room and all cabins have a private bath. Comfortable beds are adorned with down comforters and cotton sheets. Cabin extras include cozy robes, Canadian bath amenities, daily room service and turn down services, outdoor seating and ocean views. Fishing Package: Our calm, protected waters offer one of the most unique saltwater fishing experiences on the British Columbia Coast. All five species of pacific salmon, as well as halibut, lingcod, and other bottom fish can be caught just minutes from our dock. Our 4-day and 5-day all-inclusive fishing packages offer access to remote coastal fishing grounds, premium fish processing, luxury accommodations and dining, wine and spirits. Tightrope Winery is a small, family-run, sustainable winery on the Naramata Bench. A true labour of love for owners Lyndsay (winemaker) and Graham ORourke (viticulturist). We make hand-crafted, sustainable wines with artistry and passion that capture the soul of Naramata - the personality, character, culture and fruit of the Bench. We consider ourselves stewards of the land and take a wholly sustainable approach from grape to glass. We choose this for the good of the wine, the land and those who work it, and the generations to come. As the first Certified Sustainable Winery & Vineyard we incorporate many sustainable practices including no insecticides nor herbicides in the vineyard, solar power, use of winemaking waste materials to generate compost to fertilize the vineyard, and social responsibility to name a few. Mackie Lake House is an historic 1910 home situated on the shores of Kalamalka Lake in Coldstream BC. It is operated by a non-profit society and offers tours, special events, and facility rentals. Join us for a guided tour or site visit (open seasonally from June - September). Mackie Lake House is a picnic-encouraged site. Out of respect to our local wildlife, no pets are permitted.
