Lakeside camping on beautiful Puntzi lake , 12 sites with full and partial hook ups , 6 sites right on the lake ,pull through for big rigs. All sites have fire pit, picnic tables. The campground has wifi, Sani-dump, Shower house and washrooms, Boat launch, boat docks, fish cleaning station, play ground. Now open our new 2 bedroom cabin, queen bed and two twin beds, 3 piece bathroom, all linens provided ,full kitchen, wood stove in front room. also loon retreat #1 and #2 both with full bathrooms and kitchens . one side has a queen bed and other has a pull out double couch bed. This well-treed campground offers a private and peaceful setting for campers of all kinds, with a deep forest on the south end in the first-come, first-served section, transitioning to a wetland on the north end in the reservable section. Lowhee Campground has 47 campsites that can be booked in advance, as well as 33 campsites in the first-come, first-served section. It features a playground, three washroom buildings with flush toilets and potable water, as well as a coin-operated shower house. Bear-proof garbage and recycling bins are offered in central locations throughout the campground. All campsites are equipped with a wheelchair-accessible picnic table and campfire ring. Firewood is available for an additional fee of $10 per day. Campsites are an average of 50 feet long and 14 feet wide and can accommodate most trailers and RVs when backed into the sites. Pull-through sites are available in the Forest Rose Campground. Lowhee Campground is located along the west side of Barkerville Highway, 2 km north of the Barkerville Visitor Centre. Guests can travel back and forth from the Historic Zone to Lowhee via the highway, or via a well-groomed walking path alongside the highway. Lowhee Campground is part of the 1,100-hectare property that forms Barkerville Historic Town & Park and is managed by Barkerville Heritage Trust.
