Operated by the Similkameen Country Development Association, a local non-profit, the Similkameen Visitor Centre provides tourism services for the South Similkameen. Stop by and enjoy our picnic area. We have free WIFI, handicap accessible washrooms, a baby change table, electric charging stations and much more. Please be advised that we've switched from our former location to a temporary location within the Similkameen Recreation Centre.

Our 23 ground level motel rooms (some with fully equipped kitchenette), and 21 RV spots (13 of them are winterized rv spots) is open all year round and offers daily, weekly and or monthly rates. All rooms are equipped with fridge, microwave, and coffee maker for guests convenience.

The Canadian Wildlife Museum is located just minutes north of Vernon B.C. We offer an outstanding arrangement of Wildlife Displays, most of which the average person would never see in the wild. There are over 350 mounted specimens, ranging in size from mice to bison, including over 120 birds of prey and over 115 different species of Canadian wildlife. There is also a large butterfly and moth collection. There are 45 viewing stations, with over 220 different scenes of wildlife. The excellence in taxidermy workmanship and amazing artwork is not just in the mounted animals but also in the natural detailed dioramas. The Penticton & District Community Arts Council is located inside the historic Leir House Cultural Centre. Visitors are invited to tour the house while taking in the current art exhibition. The arts council offers fun art classes each month and has locally made items for sale in the gift shop. There are artists in residence to visit and it is also the home of the Penticton Potters' Guild and the Penticton Academy of Music & Dramatic Arts. Moto Experience is an Adventure Motorcycle touring company based in Pemberton, British Columbia which is 30kms north of Whistler.
