Haida Gwaii Kayak
We offer single and multi-day sea kayaking trips and rentals in Haida Gwaii, British Columbia. Our tours are designed for small groups of up to 10 people, ensuring a personalized experience suitable for all skill levels. We are based on Graham Island, with all tours launching and landing in Daajing Giids. We're a local company that takes pride in sharing our little corner of the world with you.
Silvery Slocan Museum
The Silvery Slocan Museum, located in the former Bank of Montreal building on Main Street, has been a fixture in New Denver B.C. for over 100 years. The museum features exhibits about the area's heritage, including its mining, logging and agricultural history, as well as the recently restored Lancet motor launch. Admission is by donation.
Historic Joy Kogawa House
Historic Joy Kogawa House is the childhood home of Canadian author Joy Kogawa. Joy and her family lived in the house until 1942, when they were sent to an internment camp along with thousands of other Canadians of Japanese descent. Now used as a site for author residencies and literary events, the house stands as a historical reminder of the internment experience of Japanese Canadians during WW2.
Agassiz-Harrison Museum & Visitor Information Centre
Operated by the Agassiz-Harrison Historical Society, the Agassiz-Harrison Museum & Visitor Information Centre preserves and promotes Agassiz-Harrison Valley history, heritage and culture of Agassiz, Harrison Hot Springs, and Harrison Mills. Amenities include our wheelchair accessible, family friendly 1893 heritage CPR station, which houses two museum galleries, archives, gift shop, and a full service visitor information booth. There is plenty of free parking and a picnic/play area in adjacent Pioneer Park. We are located off Highway 7 in downtown Agassiz, south of the railway tracks and within walking distance to local businesses and restaurants. We are open year round. Summer hours are 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM daily. Winter hours are 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM Wednesday - Saturday.

Fernie Museum
Opened to the public in 2013, the Fernie Museum is located in the heart of historic downtown Fernie. The museum offers two floors of exhibits, a gift shop, archives and visitor information services. The main floor permanent exhibit highlights the story of the Fernie region, from the use of the area by the Ktunaxa to underground and open pit mining to the development of Fernie as a four-season resort community. The second floor gallery features rotating art and history exhibits. The Museum also offers a range of programs throughout the year, including popular themed walking tours during the summer. Museum staff are on hand to help guide your paths as your explore our museum, community and the environment around us whether it is on the ski hill or on our many hiking or biking trails. Public washrooms are available and the facility offers barrier free access.
