This non-profit society manages over 20 km of nordic trails groomed for classic and skate winter skiing in two areas managed by the club. One area is in town at the Fernie Golf Course featuring 12 km of trails on fairly mellow terrain with wide open spaces. There are also more than 10 km of trails at the Elk Valley Nordic Centre next to Mount Fernie Provincial Park. To reach the Elk Valley Nordic Centre, go west from Fernie on Highway 3. At 3 km from the bridge, turn right at the Island Lake Lodge sign. Follow the road for 0.9 km to the Mt. Fernie Provincial Park sign. Turn left into the overflow parking lot at 0.2 km. The hilly terrain and isolated nature of the trails makes this a very exciting place to ski. The trails link up with the multi-use trails at Fernie Alpine Resort. Trail maps are posted at the kiosks located at the entrances to the trails. Please NO DOGS ON THE TRAILS at any time. The Elk Valley Nordic Centre Warming Hut is located at (49.485633 N, 115.090980 W).

Manning Park Resort is a four season, family-friendly resort in the heart of the Cascade Mountains that offers year-round camping and accommodation; hiking, biking, canoeing and paddling; skiing/snowboarding; 64km of cross-country ski trails; snowshoeing; and an outdoor ice rink. It has full Resort amenities, including a variety of accommodations, restaurant, pub, swimming pool and recreational activities, all in a beautiful natural setting. The Resort is within E.C. Manning Provincial Park, which means there are incredible hiking trails, and multi-purpose trails for biking, horseback riding, snowshoeing, cross- and back-country trails in the winter. In winter, our downhill ski and Nordic areas have a great progression for all levels, and we see consistently great conditions, due to our higher elevation and by virtue of being slightly more inland than the Coastal Mountains. Shannon Lake Golf Club, playing among towering pines and moderate elevation changes, is a true test to golfers of all abilities. After golf, Courses Restaurant in the new clubhouse (2015) offers tasty pub fare selections. Shannon Lake is located in West Kelowna, a short distance from the Coquihalla Connector. If you are traveling from the Lower Mainland region for a Kelowna golf package, this is a great facility to visit at the beginning or end of your Kelowna golf vacation. Some exciting renovation projects were completed in 2018, as a number of tee decks were re-shaped and designed to improve your golf experience at Shannon Lake.

Welcome to our Western Red Cedar Post and Beam duplex cabin with 1,200 foot wrap around deck, amazing mountain vista views on 172 acres of Northern BC wilderness. Located approximately 109 kms north of Terrace, BC in the beautiful Nass Valley, home of the Nisga'a Nation. The east end guest cabin boasts 3 private bedrooms with open concept living/dining/kitchen area, 27 ft. vaulted ceilings and access to many trails. An additional 2 bedrooms with 17 ft. vaulted ceilings and a shared bath are available on the second floor of the west end dining cabin. Breakfast is included with your room and lunches and dinners will be provided upon request at an additional cost.
